Special Counselling session

On 26th October,a special counselling session was organised with the mothers of children of grade II to VIII , the main agenda of the day was effects of excessive use of mobile phones on our present generation.

It leads to many issues like eye strain, lack of sleep, lack of concentration in studies , depression and anxiety issues.

The virtual window has given excessive exposure to these children, which has brought a drop in the social and emotional skills . These days children are less active with the peer group and most of the time they are alone and spend time in playing games and surfing the unnecessary content.

They have many virtual friends through Instagram and Facebook, who can misguide them .

After the discussion parents appreciated the efforts taken by the school and understood the importance of checking with social media friends and history of the search done by their children.

Detaching this generation with phone is not possible but we can teach them that mobile is utility not the necessity.

We suggested parents to read them bedtime stories and increase the use of dictionary, which will be effective to bring them back to the mainstream.
